How To Get The Most Out Of Working From Home

Dare To Be Different Inspirational Notebook

As schools go back and many more of us are working from home for the foreseeable future, we've pulled a few top tips for working remotely and getting the best out of your week.

1. CHOOSE A GOOD NOTEBOOK

We may be biased but in our experience what you right in is as important as what you right. Choose a notebook that inspires you, whether that's a soft touch hardback or a spiral patterned notebook make sure it's something that you will want to pick up and go back too.

2. WRITE YOUR DAILY GOALS

It's easy in this multi-tasking world to think we have it all in our heads, but when our workload is heavy and there's lots too do often that only leads to anxiety and stress. Write down three goals for each day and make sure you tick them off as you go. Science has proven that when you write those tasks down by hand your brain makes a stronger memory, which means less chance of forgetting.

3. TAKE SMALL BREAKS OFTEN

It's worth considering your daily structure and at the very least force yourself to go for a walk before work, during lunch, or straight after. Even set yourself a goal for 5 mins and as little as that sounds, 5 minutes a day for 5-7 days will lead to a habit. Work can wait, and the benefits of a clear mind that make room for better problem solving and greater creativity far outweigh the odds.

4. SET BOUNDARIES
This can be a challenge, but having a space and putting certain things in place like muting your personal phone or sitting away from your partner {where possible) or TV, are just a few ideas to minimise distractions from around your home.
